1. The short version
VidMyth uses cookies and browser storage only for things the site cannot work without: keeping you signed in, remembering the choices you made in the interface, and saving drafts on your own device. We run no advertising cookies, no analytics or tracking scripts, and nothing that follows you to other sites. That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing optional to agree to.
2. What we use
All of these are set by vidmyth.com itself and are strictly necessary:
| Name | Type | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Firebase sign-in (firebaseLocalStorageDb) | Browser database (IndexedDB) | Keeps you signed in between visits. | Until you sign out |
| vs_platform, vs_platform_view | Local storage | Remembers which platform (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok) you work on and which tools to show. | Until you clear it |
| vs_banner_dismissed | Local storage | Remembers that you closed a notice, so it stays closed. | Until you clear it |
| ct_… drafts | Local storage | Holds what you typed into a tool before you saved it, so a refresh does not lose it. Stays on your device. | Until you clear it or the draft is used |
| ct_studio_handoff | Local storage | Carries a script from a tool into the video studio. | Until it is used |
| vm_assistant_open, vm_assistant_anon | Session storage | Remembers whether the assistant is open and, if you are not signed in, your chat in this tab. | Until you close the tab |
| __Host-admin-session | Cookie | Signs in VidMyth staff to the admin console. Never set for customers. | 7 days |
3. Other sites we send you to
- Stripe Checkout and the billing portal run on stripe.com and set their own cookies to process payments and prevent fraud, under Stripe's own policies.
- Signing in with Google takes you to Google, which uses its own cookies.
- Product pages at name.vidmyth.com set no cookies and run no scripts that track visitors. They load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives the visitor's IP address.
4. How to control them
You can delete cookies and site data at any time in your browser's settings. Doing so signs you out and clears unsaved drafts and interface choices; nothing in your account is lost. Blocking storage for vidmyth.com altogether will stop sign-in from working.
